Privacy Policy
Dolwin.ai (“Dolwin.ai”, “we”, “us”) is a customer-conversation platform that lets businesses manage WhatsApp and other messaging channels in one shared inbox. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it and the choices you have. It applies to dolwin.vercel.app and any Dolwin.ai service that links to it.
Who this covers
- Customers: businesses and agencies that sign up for Dolwin.ai, and the team members they invite.
- End users: people who message a business that uses Dolwin.ai. For their data, the business is the data controller and Dolwin.ai processes it on the business's behalf.
Information we collect
- Account details: name, email address, phone number, password (stored hashed) and sign-in records.
- Business details: business name, industry, location, team members and their roles.
- WhatsApp Business connection: when you use “Continue with Facebook”, Meta shares your WhatsApp Business Account ID, phone number ID, display phone number, verified business name and an access token so we can send and receive messages for you. We do not receive your Facebook password.
- Conversation data: messages, media, contact names and phone numbers, delivery and read statuses, notes and tags.
- Usage and device data: pages visited, browser type, IP address and error logs, used to run and secure the service.
How we use information
- To provide the service: show conversations, send replies and broadcasts, and run automations you set up.
- To keep accounts secure, prevent abuse and enforce WhatsApp and Meta policies such as opt-out handling.
- To provide support, send service emails (for example, invitations and password resets) and improve the product.
- If you turn on AI features, message text is sent to our AI provider only to generate the reply or summary you asked for. It is not used to train public models.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use conversation data for advertising.
How information is shared
- Meta Platforms, to deliver WhatsApp messages through the WhatsApp Business Platform (Cloud API).
- Service providers that host and run Dolwin.ai, including Supabase (database and storage, India region) and Vercel (web hosting), under contracts that limit their use of the data.
- Within your workspace: team members and connected agencies see data according to the roles you assign.
- When required by law, or to protect the rights and safety of users and the public.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and at rest. WhatsApp access tokens are kept in an encrypted vault and never sent to the browser. Every workspace is isolated, and access is checked on every request. Incoming webhooks are verified with Meta's signature before they are stored.
Retention
We keep account and conversation data while your workspace is active. When a workspace is deleted, or you ask us to delete your data, we remove it within 30 days, except where we must keep records by law.
Your choices and rights
- You can view and update your profile and business details in Settings.
- You can disconnect WhatsApp at any time from Integrations, or remove Dolwin.ai from your Facebook Business Integrations settings.
- You can ask us to access, correct or delete your personal data. See Data deletion.
- End users can reply STOP to a business to opt out of its messages, or contact that business directly about their data.
Children
Dolwin.ai is a business tool and is not meant for anyone under 18.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date above and, for significant changes, notify account owners by email.
